Specialist training company expands Gloucester base


A Gloucestershire based training company has announced its expansion. Bridge Training, which provides a wide range of courses in a non-college environment, has taken an additional 9,900 sq ft at Robert Hitchins Limited’s Mill Place site in Gloucester


        


Bridge Training currently occupies an office and an industrial unit totalling 13,700 sq ft at Mill Place.

Mark Harrod managing director at Bridge Training said: “We are delighted to expand our premises at Mill Place. Since relocating here in winter last year we have received such demand for our courses that we decided to expand on site at Mill Place. The new premises will mean that we can offer an extra 67 places to our students which we are very pleased about.”

Bridge Training provide a wide range of nationally accredited and certificated courses at Mill Place, from training in: woodcraft; plastering; rendering; CSCS; bricklaying; beauty therapy; salon services; administration and customer services. The additional space will increase capacity of motor vehicle mechanics training and will assist in creation of space for the addition of hairdressing in the coming weeks.

The company also has an excellent ICT Suite delivering a range of courses including podcasting, ECDL and computer system building and the centre is also used as the Insurance Industry’s test centre for the South West. Bridge Training is a Member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen with Investors in People accreditation and is contracted to deliver training for the Learning and Skills Council and numerous schools from around Gloucestershire.

Emma Smith, surveyor at Alder King commented: “Mill Place is great for Bridge Training because it can allow them to easily lease additional buildings on site, so they can expand their premises without having to relocate.”

Mill Place is located on the A430 Bristol Road and is just 1.5 miles south of Gloucester city centre and approximately three miles north of Junction 12 of the M5 motorway. It is located in an established commercial location and nearby occupiers includes: Tile Flair, Hi Tec Finishers, and National Tyres.
