RICS names Tompkins as new CEO
The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has named Sean Tompkins as its new CEO. Tompkins, currently the organisation's chief operating officer, will replace Louis Armstrong who is to retire later this year.

'RICS is at an important point in its development and Sean Tompkins has the knowledge, ambition, energy and leadership skills to build on its growing reputation as the mark of property professionalism worldwide, ' said Max Crofts, RICS president.

In 2002, Tompkins joined RICS as its first executive director responsible for developing RICS' brand and marketing. As a result of his success in this role he was named as chief operating officer (COO) in 2006, the organisation said.
