RICS India successfully concludes 'Advanced Valuation Workshop Series'

The workshop was attended by over 250 participants across the three cities and had representations from valuation professional firms, international property consultants, real estate funds, banks and housing finance institutions, other financial institutions, architects, civil engineers, real estate developers, and industry representatives.

The workshop presented a rare opportunity for practicing valuation professionals to benefit from the expertise of reputed international experts in the field of valuation. The workshop was presided over by an expert panel of reputed international speakers from the Cambridge International Land Institute (CILI), UK and offered immense value and insights to all participants.

The workshop covered relevant topics including a session on valuation methodologies, relevance of RICS Valuation Standards in light of adoption of IFRS in India, valuation for residential and commercial secured lending, analysis of commercial lease transactions, and valuation of development land.

The expert panel of speakers consisted of three distinguished fellows of the RICS, namely:

Dr William Seabrooke, Director CILI
Mr Nigel Walker, Deputy Director CILI
Mr Robert Couchman, Associate CILI and Visiting Professor, Royal Agricultural College

The panel of expert speakers is credited with authoring several textbooks ranging from asset management to international real estate investment and has an experience of living and working in Asia for a number of years.
