NEW CENTER OF ZAGREB, ARENA CENTAR OPENED
The largest construction site in Croatia has shut down. The most modern shopping and entertainment center is opened to the public. Arena Centar, at the south-western entrance to the Croatian metropolis, beside the multifunctional Arena Zagreb venue, has created a new city center, offering the public a unique shopping, entertainment and sports destination.

"We are very proud of Arena Centar, our first shopping center project in Croatia. Arena Centar has been successfully realized in difficult times. The fact that the largest foreign direct investment in SEE since the start of the global financial crisis has been precisely pumped into this project indicates the significance of Arena Centar. Over 350 million Euro is the total investment value including that of the tenants. We expect that Arena Centar, as well as the Arena Zagreb venue, are only the start of TriGranit’s presence in Croatia", said Árpád Török, TriGranit CEO at a press conference prior to the Grand Opening of Arena Centar.

Arena Centar is the premier example of strong partnerships – the TriGranit know-how and its dedicated local team, MI Group as the General Contractor (local consortium - Mucic & Co, Tromont and Međimurje gradnje), a local and international team of architects from studios Design International and UPI-2M, and over 200 local and international brands that gave TriGranit their confidence.
"We are certain that given the rich content and activities that Arena Centar will offer to its visitors – a shopping and entertainment hub, modern architecture and ambience, unique outdoor landscaping and the synergy the Arena Zagreb sports venue, this center will become the new regional meeting place”, said Vlaho Kojaković, TriGranit Director for Croatia.
Arena Centar anchors include Interspar (the largest hypermarket in Croatia), Sportina with the largest brand representation (Bata, Tamaris, Orsay, Tally Weil, Tom Tailor, Esprit, G-star, Butlers, Parfois, Six, Yamamay, Coffee Shop and XYZ premium multi-brand store (opening in the spring), Iris Moda (Mango, Persona, Marella, Okaidi, Palmers, Monsoon, Accessorize and new market entrance Monsoon), C&A, H&M opening in spring 2011, Marinopoulos Group (Gap, Marks&Spencer, Sephora), Inditex (Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stravidarius), New Yorker, Intersport, Elipso, Jeans Club, and early in 2011 Sky Bowling, Blitz Cinestar, IMAX, Gold Class. Over 20% of brands entering Arena Centar are either new on the Croatian market or are appearing as new concepts. Visitors will have at their disposal over 3,000 parking places and all public transport options (train, bus and tram). TriGranit remains as the operator of Arena Centar, something unique on the market.

About 7,500 construction workers were engaged in the construction of Arena Centar. Upon opening over 2,500 people will be employed in Arena Centar.

The Hungarian majority owned TriGranit is a fully integrated real estate investment, development and management company. With operations in 7 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, a large portfolio of completed trophy assets, and a pipeline of over €4 billion of major mixed-use developments, as well as a number of public private partnership (PPP) investments, TriGranit, the 4th largest property development company in Europe, is well positioned to participate in the expanding real estate markets.
