HELICAL ANNOUNCES MAJOR NEW ANCHOR FOR EUROPA CENTRALNA

UK retailing giant, Tesco, has continued its expansion programme in Poland by signing a lease for a 11,000 m2 hypermarket in Helical Poland's Europa Centralna, the 80,000 m2 regional shopping centre and retail park adjacent to the new A4/A1 motorway interchange, south east of Gliwice.

Tesco's store will anchor the shopping centre gallery alongside several international fashion names attracted by the high profile of the scheme, its unique location and exceptional catchment population together with Europa Centralna's radical double height mall design, an entirely new concept to Poland.

Enabling works on the site including off site road connections are now almost completed and the main contract for the project will be awarded later this year.
