Green criteria dominate the MIPIM Awards 2009
The MIPIM Awards jury, chaired by Peter Goodacre, President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, United Kingdom (RICS UK), met in Paris on January 23rd to select the 15 projects nominated as finalists for the MIPIM Awards 2009.
The MIPIM Awards honour real estate projects featuring outstanding architectural achievement and innovative techniques in five categories: ‘Business Centres,’ ‘Refurbished Office Buildings,’ ‘Residential Developments,’ ‘Hotels & Tourism Resorts' and 'Green Buildings.’ During its deliberations, the jury noted buildings which successfully incorporated energy efficiency and efforts to reduce waste creation and water consumption.

The winners of the MIPIM Awards will be chosen by the real estate professionals attending MIPIM in Cannes from March 10 to 13. They will be disclosed during the much-awaited Awards Ceremony to be held in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals de Cannes at 7 pm on Thursday, March 12.
The MIPIM Awards Jury that elected the nominees is composed of internationally renowned property professionals. Apart from this year’s President of the Jury, Mr Peter Goodacre, all members are Presidents of former MIPIM Awards Juries:
