Colliers Awarded Four Toronto NAIOP Real Estate Excellence Awards
Leading global commercial real estate services provider, Colliers International, was honoured at the ninth annual Toronto National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Real Estate Excellence (REX) Awards gala on Thursday evening. Winning top honours in four out of six categories Colliers was ranked as the leading award recipient among all Toronto real estate brokerages.
Colliers swept three “Best of the Year” team awards as well as the Developing Leader Award, which recognized Vice President and member of Colliers’ National Investment Team, Adam Kosoy as a NAIOP member under the age of 35 with exceptional qualities of leadership, professionalism and community involvement.
“This extent of recognition really sets Colliers apart and is a testament to the talent that we have in place,” said Scott Addison, Executive Managing Director at Colliers International. “For the second year in a row, our success speaks volumes to the hard work and dedication of our agents and brokerage teams. And further to this, showcases Colliers’ ability to attract the industry’s brightest young stars.”
Colliers “Best of the Year” team awards for outstanding performance within the GTA commercial real estate industry included:
• Industrial Lease of the Year for Saturn Integrated Logistics, 100 Disco Road, Etobicoke. Team: Adam Turner, Colliers International, CB Richard Ellis, Weir Foulds.
• Green Award of the Year for RBC Centre, 155 Wellington Street, Toronto, 75. Team: Mark Cowie and Mike Cowie, Colliers International, Menkes Development, Adamson Associates Architects, Cushman & Wakefield, Sweeny Sterling Finlayson & Co. Architects, Enermodal Engineering.
• Industrial Development of the Year for AMB Airport Road Distribution Centre. Team: Gord Cook and Ian Gragtmans, Colliers International, CB Richard Ellis Limited, Cooper Construction.
NAIOP submissions are judged and winners are selected by independent industry experts through a balloting process of individual award recipients selected by a panel of NAIOP Directors and past Presidents. The award recipients were announced at an annual gala, held at The Canadian Broadcast Centre Studio 40, which brings together NAIOP members, friends of NAIOP and corporate sponsors for an evening of celebration and community building.
