Catella Corporate Finance recruits team from Carnegie

Catella Corporate Finance has recruited a team of three persons to the capital market group in Stockholm. Catella Corporate Finance, which focuses on property-related advisory services, is a subsidiary within Catella Advisory Sweden.

“We are experiencing an increasing demand as regards capital market engagements and our new recruitments give us even greater strength in this area,” says Lennart Schuss, President of Catella Advisory Sweden with responsibility for Catella’s Swedish advisory operations.

Within Catella Corporate Finance, the greater commercial opportunities with respect to property-related capital market transactions in the Nordic region, as well as an ambition to expand the operations within other areas of structured financing, form the background to the following new recruitments.

Per Johannes, 48, has been recruited to the position of senior advisor in the capital market group. Per Johannes has 19 years’ corporate finance experience, including at Handelsbanken, Alfred Berg and Carnegie. Per has been recruited from Carnegie, where he has worked since 2000, being mainly involved with public transactions, including several major IPOs and M&A engagements.

Magnus Jönsson, 39, has been recruited to the position of advisor/general counsel within the capital market group. Magnus Jönsson has 12 years’ corporate finance experience, including Enskilda, Sullivan & Cromwell and Carnegie. Magnus has been recruited from Carnegie, where he has worked since 2001 and, since 2006, has served as general counsel at Carnegie’s Investment Banking department. Magnus Jönsson possesses long experience of providing advice in conjunction with publicly and privately negotiated corporate acquisitions or divestments, IPOs, various forms of capital acquisition, as well as privatisations and various types of restructuring.

Peter Bergmann-Stumpp, 38, has been recruited to the position of advisor in the capital market group. Peter Bergmann-Stumpp has 11 years’ corporate finance experience, including at ABB Financial Services and Carnegie. Peter has been recruited from Carnegie, where he has worked since 2000, being primarily involved with public transactions focusing on capital structure issues, e.g. capital acquisition, restructurings and redemption, not least focusing on the property sector. Peter Bergmann-Stumpp possesses broad experience of various forms of structured financing solutions.
